The online pharmacy market recovers the gap on the previous year with +3% in values
In a month and a half, the online pharmacy and parapharmacy market has already recovered the gap on the previous year and is traveling with +3% compared to the same period in 2022. Only in values, however, because in packages sold the difference is still negative (-4%), confirming that inflation has also been felt in online prices.
This is what emerges from Iqvia’s report that updates to the sixth week of the year, from Monday, February 6 to Sunday, February 12, numbers and percentages of e-commerce in pharmacies and parapharmacies: sales exceed 85 million euros in values, while in volumes they touch eight million pieces.
Food supplements, which in six weeks collect a turnover of nearly 44 million euros, just over half of the total, remain the leading category of the online market even if the weekly trend draws significant ups and downs.
