Ministry of Health: Adherence to PagoPA and Telematic Payments for Food Services
The Ministry of Health, through Office IV with note 0049139-22/12/2023-DGISAN-MDS-P, has communicated its adherence to the national PagoPA platform for the telematic payment of fees related to services offered by the Department. This step has been taken in accordance with the Digital Administration Code (Legislative Decree 7 March 2005).
It is important to note that this payment method also extends to fees owed to the Ministry for the notification of food supplements, foods enriched with vitamins and minerals, foods intended for specific groups, and services related to new developments in the food sector.
Payments must be made through the “Online Payments” platform, integrated with the PagoPA system, accessible from the “Online Services” section of the Ministry of Health website or from the dedicated page for the electronic notification of products of interest.
Supported payment methods include credit/debit card, direct debit for banks adhering to PagoPA, bank transfer via Mybank, online channels of Poste Italiane, and other electronic payment methods such as Paypal, Satispay, Postepay, in addition to payment notices at bank branches, Post Offices, and other payment providers.
Regarding the fees related to the activities of Office 4-DGISAN, such as electronic notifications, the payment reason must clearly indicate the category of the food subject to notification and its commercial name, or in the case of new foods, the wording “consultation for new food” followed by the name.
After payment, the receipt must be saved and uploaded to the NSIS electronic system in the section dedicated to payment of the fee to finalize the electronic notification.
Once accessed through the “Online Payments” platform, a user manual is available to guide operators through the various procedures.
This transition to digital payments reflects the Ministry of Health’s commitment to improving the efficiency and accessibility of services offered, simplifying and making the payment process more transparent for operators and interested citizens.
